“Natalie delivered a guest lecture on the MA Child and Adolescent Mental Health module and was able to critically reflect and share her practice experiences of how digital social work and art could make powerful contributions in contemporary social work. The students, who are experienced, qualified social workers, provided good feedback and particularly valued the exchange of ideas on how creativity can be used with a wide range of children and youth with all levels of abilities. It was an engaging session, and Natalie's warm and friendly nature helped deliver the key points necessary for transformative social work. Thank you so much for your willingness to strengthen the delivery of the social work curriculum.”

The Social Work Way

“I’ve been building a working relationship with Natalie over the past few months, and to say I’m impressed would be an understatement. Her outside-the-box thinking, passion, and enthusiasm are absolutely contagious! The innovative ideas and fresh approaches she brings to the table are genuinely inspiring, not to mention her brilliant social work illustration collaborations – they’re a perfect touch! I’m excited to continue being part of your journey, and here’s to many more moments of partnership and collaboration ahead!”

“I feel incredibly lucky to have had the opportunity to work with Natalie. I spent time with Natalie in a complex children’s disability team, whilst she was a senior social worker and I was an apprentice.

Natalie was patient with me whilst I was learning and took the time to break down complex concepts to me, suitable for the level I was working at. Natalie offered regular feedback to further my professional development, and always ensured I took credit for the work that I completed. Natalie made the learning enjoyable and has a sense of humour that brightens the days of those around her.

Natalie inspired my confidence with her curiosity and committed involvement with each opportunity that was presented to her. She was never afraid to ask questions and was actively involved in group discussions and training experiences. This encouraged my own curiosity and assisted me to develop my knowledge and problem-solving skills.

Natalie is a very approachable, positive person who is inclusive of all those around her. Natalie made me feel valued and offered support to me both inside and out of working hours. Natalie would always take the time to check in on those around her, and prioritised wellbeing.

Natalie fosters the utmost professionalism, whilst not being afraid to challenge ideas that do not coincide with her own values. I am very grateful that I met Natalie so early on in my career and her support will have a lasting impact on my learning development. It’s clear that Natalie does not view her time at work as a job, but rather genuinely wants to make a positive difference to the people’s lives she touches.”
