About Me
Natalie Thorogood has been a registered social worker since 2009 and is unapologetically tenacious about raising standards of practice not only in England but internationally. Passionate, bold, driven, and unafraid to challenge the status quo, she has spent her career raising standards and improving systems that often lack the necessary resources.
Natalie’s work is grounded in compassion and a relentless belief that every child deserves safety, opportunity, and a voice. She brings both professionalism and warmth to her role, combining high standards with a sense of fun and humanity that makes her a strong advocate and voice for our profession.
For Natalie, social work isn’t just a career - it’s a calling. Her mission is clear; children are not just at the heart of what we do, they are the reason we do it. Every decision, every challenge, and every standard we raise must begin and end with their safety, their voice, and their future.
My mission is to elevate the quality of practice through collaboration, critical reflection, and meaningful professional development.
My work spans practice, teaching, and consultancy. Whether that’s leading training, delivering guest lectures, or supporting frontline teams.
